About Me

Dean Gnjidic

I'm Dean Gnjidic, a Serbian-born wildlife photographer based in Texas. My work focuses on birds, native wildlife, and natural landscapes across Texas and beyond.

Growing up with a strong appreciation for nature, and now working within the wide-open environments of the American landscape, I've developed an approach rooted in patience and observation. As a Texas wildlife photographer, I aim to capture authentic moments in natural habitats while maintaining ethical distance and respect for the subject.

I photograph wildlife in a variety of environments — from wetlands and open prairies to wooded areas and state parks throughout Texas, as well as other regions when the opportunity arises. Seasonal changes, migration patterns, and available light naturally influence where and how I shoot. Rather than chasing dramatic scenes, I focus on being present and prepared, allowing moments to unfold organically.

Wildlife photography requires time, awareness, and discipline. Many of my images are the result of early mornings, long waits, and careful study of animal behavior — small details that often make the biggest difference.

If you're searching for a Texas wildlife photographer in the Dallas–Fort Worth area for conservation, licensing, or editorial projects, I'm always open to collaboration.
