Wildlife photographer based in Texas
Dean Gnjidic
Serbian-born wildlife photographer focused on birds, native wildlife, and natural landscapes across Texas and beyond.
My work is rooted in patience, quiet observation, and respect for animals in their natural habitats. I am drawn to the small, honest moments that happen when a scene is allowed to unfold at its own pace.
Field notes
The work starts long before the shutter.
In the field
I photograph wildlife in wetlands, open prairies, wooded areas, and state parks throughout Texas, as well as other regions when the opportunity arises. Seasonal changes, migration patterns, and available light naturally shape where and how I shoot.
Ethical distance
Wildlife photography requires time, awareness, and discipline. Many images come from early mornings, long waits, and careful study of behavior rather than forcing a dramatic scene.
Collaboration
If you are searching for a Texas wildlife photographer in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for conservation, licensing, editorial projects, or fine art prints, I am always open to a thoughtful conversation.
My Approach
01
Patience & Observation
Waiting long enough for natural behavior to appear, instead of interrupting the subject.
02
Ethical & Respectful
Keeping distance, reading body language, and putting the animal's comfort first.
03
Authentic Moments
Building images around real light, real movement, and scenes that feel true to the place.
